- HIV-Negative?
- Anxious in some social or sexual situations?
- Do you use alcohol or drugs to take off the edge off in these situations?
If you answered YES to all these questions you may qualify for our research study!
The HIV Prevention Lab at Toronto Metropolitan University is currently recruiting HIV-negative men who have sex with men to participate in a study testing a novel form of online psychotherapy to treat social anxiety. Participants will receive 12 free online psychotherapy sessions and STI testing.
What you gain:No-cost online counselling and financial compensation for your time.What it entails:4 assessments and 12 psychotherapy sessions that may help you lower your social anxiety.

The study requires in-person nursing visits. We have worked with Toronto Metropolitan University’s Environmental Health and Safety guidelines and Public Health policies to protect our staff and research participants from transmission of COVID-19 and other reportable emerging infections. Safety protocols may be followed including masking, distancing, and enhanced cleaning practices.This research study has been reviewed and approved by the Toronto Metropolitan University Research Ethics Board (REB 2020-100).
